Brown And Rutherford'S Plant And Lumber Yard, In Point Douglas Area Of Winnipeg, Were Destroyed By Fire On April 26, 1912, But The Brick Residences (On The Right), Of Alexander Brown And Thomas Rutherford Escaped The Fire. It Was The Third Home Of The Firm, Which Was Formed In 1872. The First Premises Were On Bannatyne Avenue; The Second Was Built In 1882, Were In Point Douglas N Buchanan Street (Now Rutherford Street). In 1900, That Plant Burned Also And Was Rebuilt Immediately On The Same Site. Following The 1912 Fire, Brown And Rutherford Built New Premises Nearer Sutherland Avenue |
